About Karin

My name is Karin and I am the National Education Leader for Brazil. I've always been interested in financial topics, but for a long time, I never really built a strong repertoire in this area, largely due to their intimidating and scary nature. I'm the type of person who thrives on deadlines and specific projects to conclude, which is exactly why I choose this position. The responsibility I now hold makes learning about finance not only important but also essential and non-negotiable. My passion for financial literacy stems from my own childhood. My family went through a very difficult period financially, and even as a clueless kid, watching my parents struggle left a deep mark on me. However, what shaped me the most was seeing how my parents rebuilt our lives from scratch, moving from extreme debt to a place where we could eat out without ever worrying about the menu prices. While many factors contributed to this process, I do believe that the most important was my parents' intentional financial choices. This is why I care so much about financial literacy today. Adding on, what makes me truly happy is the fact that, while I develop my own skills, I can also contribute to Project WealthWise and help others who may share the same fears I once had.
